To ensure fairness to all NFT supporters, it is important that the provenance process is robust. When all the NFTs in the collection is ready for launch, the provenance page will list all the Token IDs, with their respective hash (signature) of the NFT image. In addition, each NFT will also have a corresponding Sequence ID. When an NFT is minted on-chain, the block number will be recorded and the 6th block after this block is called the seed block number. The block hash of the seed block number plus the Token ID will be used as a seed for a random number generator (RNG) that will select (based on the Sequence ID) an available non minted NFTs to be used as the minted Token ID. In essence, this process is like a randomiser, assigning a random NFT image to the Token ID that was minted. This ensures that nobody (including the development team and the creator) can pre-determine which NFT image will be assigned to a Token ID before it is minted.

After an NFT has been minted, the image that is displayed is the pre-reveal image, ie not the actual BOBBOB image of the Token ID. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday (at midnight UTC), all minted NFTs that have not been revealed will be processed. They will go through the provenance process and once the IPFS addresses have been calculated, the NFT contract will be updated with the latest IPFS Base URL to reveal the NFTs. Once all NFTs have been revealed, the NFT contact will be updated to freeze the base URI, marking all NFTs metadata and images permanent in the blockchain.
